Our Heritage

1991

Originally founded as Adderley Featherstone by Peter Adderley and John Featherstone following successful careers in industry at board level and including the leadership of one of Europe's largest executive search companies.

1995

Adderley Featherstone opens its eighth UK office and is recognised by the Sunday Times as the UK’s largest advertiser of senior level appointments.

1999

Adderley Featherstone welcomes its fiftieth employee into the business. Continued expansion into Europe continued with offices opening in Paris and Geneva and headed by current European Managing Director, Steve Nicholson.

2007

Our online recruitment division initially called Online Resourcing and now known as Jobster - established and run by Oliver Adderley, as part of the group and as a cost effective alternative to traditional high street recruitment agencies, offering direct sourcing and media planning solutions.

2010

Ongoing recruitment contracts agreed with Nestle, ITV, Mars, Aggregate Industries and more. In 2010 sees the launch of Talent Match ATS as a low cost online recruitment portal for the SME market.

2018

2018 also sees the launch of a unique localised online recruitment network on social media of over 250 local job boards. Creating candidate engagement and advertising possibilities in every major town and city in the UK. We now have the UK’s largest following of job seekers on social media with approximately 1.2million connections.

2021

Oliver Adderley, the original founders son, appointed as Managing Director to lead the business into the future of a fast moving digital landscape. Whilst retaining the core family values and recruitment principals that has made the business a success story in it’s 30+ year history.

2022

In more recent years Adderley Featherstone is referred to by our clients as Adderley or Adderleys, so in 2022 we shortened our brand name by removing “featherstone” and welcomed the launch of our new logo and online marketing identity. We are now known as Adderleys.

2024

Adderley Recruitment Group completes the sale of its online recruitment brand Jobster to Young Capital, one of the largest recruitment companies in Holland.
